While I’m extremely loathe to get into this on a page that was meant to be dedicated to objective research (and it will likely be deleted as soon as the situation dies down), I’ve been contacted on behalf of a representative of the Dahmer family and asked to post the following, regarding a member of the ‘community’ and recent concerning events:
I am sure you are all familiar with the YouTube channel “Jeff’s Shrine”, run by Chelsey Eden and recently rebranded to “Channeling Jeff”.
What was once a channel meant for both education and merely edits of Jeffrey Dahmer has dissolved recently into something else. Lately it is causing a lot of hubbub and there are a few things that should be addressed before they spiral further out of hand.
This woman is apparently on an aggressive campaign to try and harm someone who is provably close to the Dahmer family. Spread the word far and wide that nothing she uploads onto her YouTube in the coming days, weeks, months, etc. belongs to her. It is stolen content. The photos she will share have not been seen by the public before. Do not let this fool you into believing that they are part of her personal collection. She does not own the photos in-real-life, or anything else she shares, barring a few small odds and ends.
Notably, she owns a time card from Jeff’s period working at Ambrosia that was gifted to her, some documents (nothing never before seen) and a jar of dirt that she believes is “Jeff’s ashes”. She does not own Jeff’s original lava lamp, as she is claiming to in comments. That was destroyed in the 1990s and has never even crossed paths with the murderabilia scene. Whatever else she is claiming to have that “belonged to Jeff”, if it isn’t listed above then she doesn’t have it (at least physically).

A YouTuber’s false claims of owning Dahmer’s belongings, including the lava lamp which was destroyed in 1996 (as confirmed by the Dahmer family and those close to them)
At this time, the original owners of the photographs have asked the community to prohibit sharing as much as possible while the situation is handled in private. You can save the images, as it is inevitable at this point that people will and have, but please do not repost or distribute them. This was asked personally BY the family who cared for Lionel and Shari Dahmer in their final years and we must not disrespect their privacy. All of this is believed to be malicious action taken intentionally to retaliate against someone she has a personal agenda for built off of jealousy. She obtained them from someone who trusted her that she betrayed, and this person had well-documented written AND verbal permission to share them with her, PRIVATELY. Please respect the wishes of the owners and the memory of the Dahmer family – who have been through enough over the past three decades – and do not continue to share them.
Don’t engage with Chelsey’s channel. She is seeking attention and actively deletes any negative comments made on her posts to maintain an appearance of complete support. Just report her posts and go on.
Thank you for your help and support.
