While I’m loathe to get into this on a page intended for objective research (and this post will likely be removed once the situation dies down), I’ve been contacted on behalf of the Dahmer family and asked to post the following statement from one of their representatives, regarding a member of the ‘community’ and recent concerning events.
I am sure you are all familiar with the channel “Jeff’s Shrine”, recently rebranded to “Channeling Jeff”, and their actions as of late.
What was once a channel meant for both education and merely edits of Jeffrey Dahmer has dissolved into something else, and lately it is causing a lot of hubbub. There are a few things that should be addressed before they spiral further out of hand.
In the coming weeks and days, the channel is going to be spreading a lot of misinformation and uploading more stolen content. The photos they have shared and will share have not been seen by the public before. Do not let this fool you into believing that they are part of their personal collection. They do not own them in-real-life and they are not part of their “private collection” as they have gone on the record to say.
They also do not own Jeff’s original lava lamp, as they are claiming to in comments.

Notably, they own a time card from Jeff’s period working at Ambrosia that was gifted to them, some documents (nothing never before seen) and a jar of dirt that they believe is “Jeff’s ashes”. Whatever else they are claiming to have that “belonged to Jeff”, if it isn’t listed above then they do not have possession of (at least physically).
At this time, the original owners of the photographs have asked the community to prohibit sharing as much as possible while the situation is handled in private. You can save the images, as it is inevitable at this point that people will and have, but please do not repost or distribute them. This was asked personally BY the family who cared for Lionel and Shari Dahmer in their final years and we must not disrespect their privacy. The source they were obtained from had well-documented permission to share them with the channel owner alone, PRIVATELY. Please respect the wishes of the owners and the memory of the Dahmer family – who have been through enough over the past three decades – and do not continue to promote or distribute them.
Don’t engage with this channel. It is seeking attention and actively deletes any negative comments made on its posts to maintain an appearance of complete support. Just report the posts and move on.

It’s so great seeing various JD pages share this statement. Did you write it, Soph? How can anyone claim they have EVERYTHING that EVER belonged to him? because his stuff has sold to lots of different people and many collect!!
Claiming that you “love” Dahmer and then betraying someone who was so close to his family (and by extension his family, itself) is CRAZY work. You would think if someone had the opportunity to see all of these things no one else has, that they’d cherish them and keep them close as to not ruin something so special, but clearly the wrong people are getting opportunities. Hopefully her third-eye spiritual 5D awakening or whatever will make her realize that this has gotta come with a lot of that karma you hear the kids talking about. And from what I’ve heard through the grapevine…it’s coming!
I sub to the channel just to watch the chaos unfold from afar, and I’m gonna say it – she’s a nut-job. Atleast there’s still some sane people (you being one of them) in the Dahmer space.
She’s recently deleted a few posts where her insanity was in full force.
May I ask how she even got hold of them? Did she make a fake account or something? Of course, you don’t have to say if you don’t want to. I’m just curious how one ever trusted someone with such a bad reputation in the space.

Who is “Dahmer’s family” at this point?
It says they’ve been asked by “the family who cared for Lionel and Shari Dahmer in their final years.” So the caretakers and other hired help are being called “the Dahmer family” now? They’re still involved in things somehow?
I don’t mean this like I’m disagreeing. I’m just confused.
I’m still confused about how Lionel and Jeff’s stuff ended up on murderabilia websites or passed around online. I’m glad I got to see a lot of those things (and I have no interest in the moral side of it) but I never understood how it happened. Has a clear explanation ever been given?
I’ve always assumed that Lionel was in need of money for Shari’s care and then his own and that selling these items was his only option. Otherwise, it seems somewhat contrary to how I’ve always pictured Lionel.
I also remember reading that there was some issue with the film ‘Raising Jeffrey Dahmer,’ which somehow resulted in life-long financial problems for Lionel. I don’t know where I heard that… Not sure if it’s true. But just another thing that pops into my mind when I try to understand what happened.
With these photos, I’ve been sent “private” photos in the past. I’m not anyone special but I comment and post about Dahmer on Reddit and I’ve had strangers message me (people I’ve never chatted with before) and show me “private” photos. I was even sent a picture of Lionel nude (from the back) painting his bathroom. And it was shared like, “shh… don’t tell no one.” I think they were just being nice and thought I was a serious fan. I appreciated it (I like seeing any new Dahmer stuff) but it adds to my confusion about what exactly was happening with Lionel at that time and who was letting people have these personal items to sell or pass around.
And I’m guessing those are the exact photos that Chelsey is now posting?
I also remember being shown a video of one person rescuing a photo album from Lionel’s trash bin. So I’m also confused by who was throwing away some things but selling and sharing others…
Chelsey is a totally shameless person. Shameless, brought up too badly and with mental problems. She hurt right now a lot of people who trusted her before.
She simply does not care about anybody only herself. Everything for fame.
